A Seven-Day Intensive In-House Program on the Worldview of Islam
Began as WISE Summer School in 2014 in collaboration with RZS-CASIS, UTM Kuala Lumpur. Last offered in 2019 before the pandemic.
The WISE Summer School programme is an initiative to carry fourth the mission to rearticulate and reinstitute the philosophical framework of the mind that is based on the worldview of Islam for men and women of intelligence, integrity and responsibility.
From the feedbacks and responses by the participants of WISE, we realised that there are groups of interested people who could not participate in WISE for two main reasons:
-
Do not have the proficiency in Malay language
-
Do not have the availability to commit themselves every weekend
Potential participants who fall into these two categories include:
-
International students studying in Malaysia
-
Malaysians studying or living abroad
-
Malaysians who reside a distance away from the Klang Valley
-
General international participants
Thus is 2014, CASIS in partnership with HAKIM and PEACEMEAL organised the very first WISE Summer School on the 22nd to 28th of June last year. The programme attracted a total of 58 participants from local and abroad, including Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Republic of Ireland, and the United States of America.

Such situations as outlined above can be achieved by:
-
Developing the meaning of self on the foundation of knowledge according to Islamic tradition
